Training camp begins this week, which greets players with the bittersweet realization that their vacations are over and the season is finally upon them.
As they head down to Richmond, Va., to begin their quest for a Super Bowl, they'll likely reflect on and tell stories to their teammates about what they did over the summer.
If you've paid attention to any player's social media feed over the last several weeks, then you should already have a good idea. In case you didn't, The Redskins Blog has provided you a rundown of what some fo the team did over its break.
Paris
Josh Norman had already made a previous trip to the city of love in the spring, but he clearly couldn't get enough of Paris St. Germain's hospitality. The football (soccer) club let him take a tour of the stadium, swap jerseys with Ibrahimovic and watch a game. And yes, he got to do some more sightseeing as well.
Like ships in the night, Chris Baker missed Norman on his trip to the U.K., but still got to experience the beauty of Paris standing under the Eiffel Tower. Let's just say these two will be prepared for the long flight across the pond later this October.
London
Chris Baker was also in London along with DeAngelo Hall last week, helping to promote the Redskins' game against the Bengals at Wembley Stadium. The two of them had a chance to teach some skills to the kids and see a little bit of the city before returning home. They also appeared to be pretty jetlagged, as evidenced in some sneaky Instagram videos.
Los Angeles
Jamison Crowder is a California man and grew up in Los Angeles. It is his first home. He spent the majority of his off-time training there and happened to catch a Dodgers game one night. Su'a Cravens might argue the same thing about his upbringing, born in L.A. and a USC product. He spent some time reconnecting with his family and even took them out for a nice meal before returning to Virginia.
Meanwhile, David Bruton Jr. has been spending the majority of his time in his new home with his family, but got a chance to walk the red carpet at the ESPY's two weeks ago with his son. Naturally, the two looked pretty sharp.
San Francisco
Vernon Davis still has a soft spot for the city that drafted him. He's made frequent visits to California throughout the offseason and still enjoys taking these touristy shots in the Bay Area.
Omaha
Before heading up to Michigan for the summer, Cousins took a trip to Omaha, Neb., for the College World Series and took in the spectacle from some nice seats. Day and night comparison collages are always a safe choice.
His tight end Niles Paul visited his hometown several weeks later to help lead a football camp and get in touch with the youth of the inner city.
Ocean City, N.J.
Matt Ioannidis took part in some classic Philadelphia summer relaxation…by travelling into New Jersey. The Temple Owl alum reclaimed what was likely a familiar spot to vacation during his time in college and maybe got some beach (playbook) reading in.
Miami
Ricky Jean Francois couldn't spend too much time away from his hometown. The defensive end likely took in some beautiful sunrises and apparently participated in a softball game at Marlins Park.
Washington, D.C.
What's wrong with keeping it local? Morgan Moses is an engaged father of three, which means he doesn't have time to jetset all over the country. Instead, how about hooking up his family with a trip to Nats Park for college rivalry night?
Jamaica
Kendall Reyes renewed his vows with his wife in paradise. Although, for many people, cliff diving doesn't sound too relaxing. He seemed to have fun, though.
Water Park
This kind of water drop can be equally as terrifying. Jerrel Powe never identified where he was when he decided to plummet down this towering water slide, but this is clearly a man enjoying the freedoms of summer.
