"These are some powerful women," said Julie Donaldson, anchor for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic and host of Thursday night's panel of female executives of the Washington Redskins.

For about an hour in the EA Sports Player's Lounge of FedExField, Donaldson moderated the exclusive five-woman panel—"Up Close With The Women Behind The Redskins" -- as part of the Women of Washington Redskins Leadership Series, in conjunction with Women In Sports and Events.

More than 150 female members of both groups attended the seminar, which included Jane Rodgers, executive director of the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation; Nancy Hubacher, vice president of sales & marketing; Rachel Engleson, director of premium client services; Signe Hilton, director of entertainment & game production and Stephanie Jojokian, director/choreographer for the Washington Redskins cheerleaders.

"What I walked away with was the passion," Donaldson said. "And it's nice to see other women who share the passion because that's the biggest reason why I'm in the job that I'm at and that I'm able to be a success in my career because I have a passion for it."

The panel briefly discussed each executive's background and career before tackling issues like working in a male-dominated sports environment. A Q&A followed the panel, which also discussed attaining the right work-life balance.

"What we're doing in the community is not just about football, it's what we do as a brand and extending out to our huge, massive, enthusiastic, avid fan base," Hubacher said. "The nice thing is that I met colleagues that I hadn't spent a lot of time with and I'm very impressed with the female peers that I have with the Redskins."

Following the panel was a dinner and networking roundtable, where the women in attendance could connect and ask more questions to panelists, further strengthening their shared experience.

"It's nice to know that you can really unite and really help support each other," Donaldson said. "To say 'OK, we've gotten here on the same path because we love what we do and we're not going to take no for an answer. But we also get more things to do tomorrow.'"
