He could have chosen George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams or Benjamin Franklin. That's what all the other kids were doing.

Instead, Clifton Barnes' son decided he would embody Redskins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen at his school's wax museum assembly.

This is how his father tells it after pressing the button to make his son (who actually looks like a young Sonny) come to life.

"My son said, 'Hey, pretty good game, huh? My name is Sonny Jurgensen. I just ran for one touchdown and passed for three more as we came from 21 points down to beat the Cowboys 34-31. I was born on August 23, 1934 in Wilmington, North Carolina. My goals in life were to graduate from Duke University and to become a great quarterback. I had many accomplishments such as making the Pro Bowl five times and breaking several NFL passing records in the 1960s. I have one record that will never be broken - I completed a 99-yard touchdown pass. In my last season in 1974, I led the league in passing. But at age 40 I retired from the game I had loved ever since elementary school in North Carolina. I am now 81 years old and I live in Virginia, not far from where the Redskins practice. I have been a radio announcer for the Redskins for many years. As a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and the NFL Hall of Fame, I hope I have been an important part of North Carolina history and sports history.'"

This kid has a future in sports. .
