The Washington Redskins will return to the friendly confines of FedExField on Sunday when the team faces the New York Giants in Week 12. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Redskins are currently riding a four-game home winning streak. A win on Sunday would give the Redskins their first five-game regular season home winning streak in a single season for the first time since winning six straight at RFK Stadium to open a Super Bowl title campaign in 1991.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins has earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors in each of the Redskins' last two home contests. During the team's current four-game home winning streak, Cousins has completed 107-of-138 passes for 1,134 yards with nine touchdowns and zero interceptions for a passer rating of 122.6. This week, he can become the first Redskins quarterback to throw three or more touchdowns in three consecutive home games since Pro Football Hall of Famer Sonny Jurgensen  in Weeks 10, 12 and 14 of the 1967 season.

THE OPPONENTThe New York Giants enter Week 12 with a 5-5 record following a bye in Week 11. The 2015 season is the Giants' 12th season under Head Coach Tom Coughlin.

Quarterback Eli Manning leads the Giants' passing attack, having completed 248-of-384 passes (64.6 percent) for 2,700 yards with 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. Manning has started all 16 regular season games in 10 consecutive seasons for the Gianits. Manning has also added 14 rushing attempts for 57 yards.

Running back Rashad Jennings leads the Giants in rushing in his second year with the team. Through 10 games, Jennings has recorded 105 carries for 403 yards (3.8 avg.) is tied for the team lead with two other players with one rushing touchdown.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. leads the Giants in all receiving categories this season, posting 63 receptions for 863 yards (13.7 avg.) with eight touchdowns. Fellow wide receiver Rueben Randle has contributed 39 catches for 475 yards (12.2 avg.) with three touchdowns.

Rookie safety Landon Collins leads the Giants' defense in tackles with 61 total tackles (44 solo). Defensive end Damontre Moore has compiled  a team-high three sacks  this season. Veteran cornerbacks Trumaine McBride and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are tied for the team-lead with three interceptions.

Veteran kicker Josh Brown handles the kicking duties for the Giants in his third year with New York. Brown has converted all 23 of his field goal attempts and 26-of-27 extra points he has attempted thus far in 2015. Brown has also averaged a distance of 62.9 yards on 61 kickoffs, including 28 touchbacks. Punter Brad Wing joined the team in the offseason and has assumed punting duties, averaging 44.8 yards per punt this season.

Wide receiver Dwayne Harris is the team's primary returner. Harris has returned 21 punts for 173 yards (8.2 avg.) and 15 kickoffs for 467 yards (31.1 avg.) this season.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR THIS WEEK• The Redskins extending a regular season home winning streak to five games for the first time since the 2004-05 seasons (Week 17 in 2004, Weeks 1-9 in 2005). It would also mark the Redskins' first five-game home winning streak in a single season since winning their first six home games in Weeks 1-11 in the team's Super Bowl title season in 1991.

• The Redskins improving to 5-1 through their first six home games in a season for the first time since 1992.

• The Redskins and Giants meeting for a 168th time, including postseason play. The Giants are the Redskins' most-played opponent.

• The Redskins ending a five-game losing streak to the Giants and earning their first win against the Giants since Dec. 3, 2012.

• The Redskins winning consecutive games against NFC East opponents for the first time since a five-game divisional winning streak in 2012.

• The Redskins pushing their record in NFC East play this season to 2-1.

• The Redskins setting a franchise record with their third kickoff return touchdown this season. The 2015 Redskins have already tied a team record with two kickoff return touchdowns (2005, 1947, 1942).
