The Washington Redskins will return to action in Week 10 when the team hosts the Minnesota Vikings at FedExField. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

The game will be the centerpiece of the Redskins' annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend. At halftime, the Redskins will formally induct former General Manager Bobby Beathard as the 49th member of the team's Ring of Fame.

Beathard's illustrious career as an NFL executive included 11 seasons as General Manager of the Redskins from 1978-88. In Beathard's 11 seasons as General Manager, no team posted a better postseason winning percentage than the Redskins, who went 11-3 (.786) in postseason play and made three Super Bowl appearances.

Meanwhile, current General Manager Scot McCloughan and Head Coach Jay Gruden have constructed an offense that ranks fourth in the NFL in yards per game this season. The Redskins are averaging 410.3 yards per game, nearly 20 more yards than the franchise's team record of 390.8 yards per game established in 1989.

THE OPPONENT**
The Minnesota Vikings enter Week 10 with a 5-3 record and a first-place rank in the NFC North this season. The Vikings ended their 2015 campaign with an 11-5 record and an NFC North title. This is the Vikings' third season under Head Coach Mike Zimmer. Minnesota is coming off of a 22-16 overtime loss to Detroit in Week 9.

Quarterback Sam Bradford entered the NFL with the St. Louis Rams as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft. He earned the starting role in Minnesota after being traded to the Vikings from the Eagles following an injury to quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. In his first season with Minnesota, Bradford has completed 166-of-243 pass attempts (68.3 percent) for 1,715 yards and nine touchdowns.

Running back Jerick McKinnon leads the Vikings in rushing attempts (75), recording 225 rushing yards and one touchdown. Matt Asiata has posted a team-high 227 yards and two touchdowns on 71 carries.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is in his second season with the Vikings and leads the receiving corps with 48 receptions for 546 yards with two touchdowns this season. Tight end Kyle Rudolph has added 32 receptions for 323 yards and four touchdowns.

Safety Harrison Smith leads the Vikings in tackles. Smith has recorded 56 tackles (42 solo), followed by linebacker Eric Kendricks with 54 tackles (36 solo). Defensive end Everson Griffen leads the defense in sacks with six. Kicker Blair Walsh has made 12-of-16 field goal attempts on the season (75.0 percent) after converting 34-for-39 field goals (87.2 percent) last season. Punter Jeff Locke has averaged 43.2 yards per punt on 43 punts this season.

Punt returner Marcus Sherels has returned 14 punts for 192 yards with two touchdowns. Cordarelle Patterson has returned 12 kickoffs for 332 yards.
