The Washington Redskins will travel across the country this week for their third West Coast game of the season when the team faces the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14. Kickoff at the StubHub Center is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET.

The West Coast has been kind to the Redskins thus far in 2017. The Redskins are 2-0 in the Pacific Time Zone this year, including a 27-20 road win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 and a 17-14 road win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. Additionally, the Redskins won both home games this season against teams that call the Pacific Time Zone home, including a Week 3 win against the Oakland Raiders and a Week 6 win against the San Francisco 49ers, giving the Redskins a perfect 4-0 mark against teams from the nation's western-most time zone this year.

The Redskins are in the midst of their first and only two-game road swing of the 2017 regular season. After playing road contests in Weeks 13-14, the team will return to FedExField for its only two-game homestand of the season in Weeks 15-16.

THE OPPONENTThe Los Angeles Chargers enter Week 14 at 6-6 and tied for first place in the AFC West. This is the team's first season under the purview of Head Coach Anthony Lynn. 

Philip Rivers is the team's starter at quarterback in his 14th NFL season. This season, Rivers has completed 272-of-431 passes (63.1 percent) for 3,292 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His 3,292 passing yards this season rank fourth in the NFL.

Running back Melvin Gordon leads the Chargers in rushing this year, having posted 775 rushing yards on 207 carries with five touchdowns. Austin Ekeler has also contributed 198 rushing yards on 41 attempts with two touchdowns. Wide receiver Keenan Allen leads the Chargers in receptions (77), receiving yards (1,032) and receiving touchdowns (five). Tight end Hunter Henry has added 38 receptions for 501 yards with three receiving touchdowns.

Safety Jahleel Addae is leading the Chargers with a team-high 81 tackles (57 solo) through 12 games. Defensive end Joey Bosa has a team-high 11.5 sacks, while safety Tre Boston and cornerback Casey Hayward are tied for the team lead in interceptions (four).

Travis Coons has handled kicking duties for the Chargers since being signed in Week 13, while Drew Kaser handles the punting responsibilities. Coons was 4-of-5 (80.0 percent) on field goal attempts in his Chargers debut last week. Kaser is averaging 48.5 yards per punt on 55 punts this season.

Travis Benjamin has served as the team's primary punt returner in 2017, while Desmond King has handled kick returns. Benjamin has averaged 8.3 yards on 21 punt returns with one touchdown. King has averaged 20.8 yards on 15 kick returns.
