In desperate need of a win after a four-game losing streak, the Redskins called on veteran quarterback Josh Johnson to save their playoff hopes. Johnson answered, guiding the team to a 16-13 win on the road in Jacksonville. The win was the first of Johnson's 12-year career as a starter, and his performance through the air and on the ground earned him the Kia MVP of the game.

Johnson led the Redskins on a game-winning drive with less than three minutes left to set Dustin Hopkins up for a 36-yard game winning field goal as time expired. Johnson threw for 151 yards and a touchdown and picked up 49 yards on the ground.

"I know every opportunity I get could be my last one, that's just the reality of my situation so I just want to leave it all on the field. I owe this game that much because I love it that much, I mean I put in this work, I've stayed around this game for that long, for me to go out there and not leave it on the field I would be disrespecting it," Johnson told reporters after the game. "So at the end of the day if I had the opportunity where I feel I could make a play Ima go do that. I mean, we ended up pulling out the victory so it worked out fine."

In his 10-year career Johnson has played for 12 different teams, with his last start coming in 2011 with Tampa Bay. Finally getting his first win, and during such an important situation, gave Johnson a feeling he's been chasing since entering the league.

"Just to have it go our way, and be able to just have everything that's been bottled up in me for years to finally just let it out, it was a relief honestly, it was," he said. "It was just a relief."
