LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The second annual Washington Redskins Draft Day Dash 5K will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30 at FedExField.
Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Dan Snyder, will be in attendance to kick off the race in addition to Redskins alumni Ricky Ervins, Brad Edwards, Gary Clark and Ravin Caldwell, Redskins cheerleaders and the Redskins drumline.
The race will conclude inside FedExField, allowing participants the opportunity to experience the team's stadium by running through the player tunnels to finish on the 50-yard line. All race participants will receive an exclusive Redskins Draft Day Dash 5K commemorative race medal, a neon-colored technical t-shirt, an autograph "fast pass" and giveaways from Draft Day Dash sponsors including the Great American Milk Drive and Shoppers Food & Pharmacy. Additionally, all race participants over the age of 21 will receive a free Bud Light.
In an effort to strengthen community involvement, the Redskins Charitable Foundation launched a competition to further promote health and wellness within area schools through the School Challenge. The top three schools with the overall highest participation will have their choice of either an unrestricted $5,000 grant donation to use as they see fit, $2,500 in new gym equipment for their Physical Education and sports programs, or a Redskins Player Appearance and Event at their school.
Following the race, participants are encouraged to join in the excitement and entertainment of the annual Redskins Draft Day Party; featuring the 2016 NFL Draft on the stadium's HD video boards, Redskins player, alumni and cheerleader appearances, photo ops with the Super Bowl trophies and live entertainment.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, whose mission is to make a positive and measurable impact on youth development in the greater Washington, D.C. area, focusing primarily in the areas of education, community outreach, and health and wellness.

The Great American Milk Drive is the first national program to help deliver highly desired and nutrient-rich gallons of milk to hungry families who need it most, made possible by the nation's dairy farmers and milk companies. Milk is one of the items most requested by food bank clients—however, because it is rarely donated, there is a nationwide shortage. By visiting www.milklife.com/give, contributors can donate milk for as little as $5 to a family in need in their own community.
