The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed free agent offensive lineman Tevita Stevens to the team's practice squad. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition, the team released offensive lineman Braxston Cave from its practice squad.
Stevens (6-1, 302) spent the entire 2013 season on the Redskins' practice squad after signing with the team as a college free agent on May 1, 2013. He was waived by the Redskins on Aug. 29, 2014. He was signed to the team's practice squad on Aug. 31, before being released from the practice squad on Sept. 2.
Stevens played collegiately at Utah from 2008-12. He appeared in 51 games during his collegiate career, starting the final 48 and earning academic all-conference honors each season.
Stevens, 27, attended Hemet (Calif.) H.S., where he helped his team to two Tri-League Championships. He was born on July 4, 1987.
Cave (6-3, 305) originally signed to the Redskins' practice squad as a free agent on Sept. 2, 2014.
