For Sunday's game against the Ravens, the Redskins will be without four players, as the team's first two draft picks in this year's draft along with two starting cornerbacks have been ruled out.
This week's injury report is brought to you by Inova, the Official Health System of the Washington Redskins.
The Washington Redskins will be without linebacker/safety Su'a Cravens (concussion) and cornerback Bashaud Breeland (ankle) for their short road trip to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in Week 5 action at M&T Bank Stadium.
Additionally, cornerback Dashaun Phillips (hamstring) and wide receiver Josh Doctson (Achilles) have also been ruled out for the game while linebacker Ryan Kerrigan (elbow) and guard Shawn Lauvao (knee) are questionable.
Cravens played 27 snaps during the Redskins' 31-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns last Sunday at FedExField before being removed from the game to be evaluated for a concussion.
The 2016 second-round pick out of USC had been in concussion protocol throughout the week and did not participate in any practice sessions.
So far this season, Cravens has registered 14 tackles along with three passes defensed and a late interception against the New York Giants in Week 3 to secure a Redskins victory at MetLife Stadium.
Breeland, meanwhile, will miss his second consecutive game after suffering an ankle injury in the first half of the Giants game.
Despite not practicing in any sessions this week, the third-year cornerback showed some progress, as he was able to do individual rehab work on the side as his teammates went through their preparation for Baltimore.
Without Breeland and Phillips last Sunday, the Redskins had rookie Jonathan Allen active for the first time all season as he played nickel cornerback and Quinton Dunbar played on the outside, appearing on 56 of 72 defensive snaps.
Kerrigan was removed from the Browns game after just eight plays, only to return on the sideline with a large protective brace minutes later.
Despite testing out the strength in his arm by doing pass rush drills with Houston Bates, Kerrigan wasn't inserted back into the game.
Limited throughout practices this week, Kerrigan is confident he'll be appearing in his 84th consecutive game this Sunday.
"I don't think I have to change much, it's just something I have to get used to," Kerrigan said of wearing a brace on his arm. "It's something that even [on Wednesday] as practice went on I felt more comfortable with it. It's obviously a little more cumbersome than what I'm used to because I'm not used to having anything on my arm. Like I said, it's something I can get used to. A lot of guys around the league play with them, so I don't anticipate it being too much of a problem."
Lauvao could be active this weekend after being sidelined for the second half of the Giants game and inactive for the Browns game as a result of an ankle issue.
Despite some initial concern about the severity of Lauvao's injury, the seven-year veteran increased his workload throughout the week and believes he'll be ready for a potent Ravens pass rush.
"I was hoping for the best, fortunately it played out to my favor," Lauvao said. "I feel incredible now. I feel spectacular."
For the Ravens, wide receiver/returner Devin Hester (thigh) did not practice Wednesday and Thursday, returning on Friday, while rookie tackle Ronnie Stanley (foot) wasn't a participant throughout Baltimore's three days of practice.
Tight end Maxx Williams and cornerback Maurice Canady were placed on Injured Reserve this week after making appearances on the injury report.
