Dealing with a "sore" shoulder, Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions while Jordan Reed has been ruled out.

This week's injury report is brought to you by Inova, the Official Health System of the Washington Redskins.

The Washington Redskins will travel north on Sunday to take on the Detroit Lions with tight end Jordan Reed (concussion) ruled out for the game.

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson (shoulder) is listed as questionable.

Reed, who originally was originally listed as questionable before being downgraded to out, missed last Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles but returned to the practice field this week with a limited workload on Wednesday.

He did not practice on Thursday or Friday, though.

"I don't think he had a set-back, I just think that they didn't really clear him," Redskins head coach Jay Gruden said. "That's all. That's all I can say. I don't even try to argue or ask why. I just [asked], 'is he cleared or not?' The answer's no. So we'll hopefully get him back next week."

In five appearances this season, Reed has pulled in 33 receptions for 316 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Cleveland Browns.

But Reed suffered a concussion during the Redskins' Week 5 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

"It's frustrating that I've been dealing with it so often," Reed said of the concussions he's suffered. "But I just try to not think about it too much, and just take it as it comes. Just take it day-by-day."

With Reed not suiting up on Sunday, the Redskins will once again look to Vernon Davis and Niles Paul for production at the tight end position.

Davis had his best performance of the season last Sunday, hauling in a 13-yard touchdown reception along with a 37-yard catch-and-run off a wheel route in which Trent Williams placed the ball right into the veteran's hands.

Detroit has given up seven touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season, so the Redskins could be at an advantage with their depth at the position.

"Jordan adds a different dynamic to the team," Davis said. "I mean, it's hard to replace him. He's just a tremendous talent. But as far as the concepts and the scheme of the offense, we can just keep moving forward. When you have a quarterback like Kirk who can get the ball out and make plays, you can't really skip a beat. We're fortunate enough to have the guys that we have in this locker room and we just want to keep moving forward."

Jackson, meanwhile, did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, dealing with an injured shoulder but was on the field Friday afternoon.

The three-time Pro Bowler, who has been receiving treatment throughout the week, believes he'll be ready to go this weekend.

"Well if you leave it on me I'm going to say 100 percent," Jackson said. "That's what I'm going to always say."
