The Washington Commanders announced today that they have made the following hires, promotions and title changes. 

The Commanders will host five open practices for all fans plus two additional open practices for season ticket members from July 28-August 6. Fans can claim their free tickets beginning Thursday, June 20.

The Washington Commanders and CBS affiliate WUSA9 have announced an exclusive television broadcast partnership that includes increased coverage of the team through two new WUSA-produced shows, including a weekly pregame show, and three Commanders-produced shows. 

The Washington Commanders announced today the team's 2024 Nunn-Wooten Scouting Fellows – Austin Walter and Tony Jones. Walter will be joining the team for the remainder of the offseason program and for the first two weeks of training camp. Jones will be joining the team for the first two weeks of training camp.

Marjorie Harris, Commanders 2024 Rookie Class and more to lead three events across the DMV.

This year, Washington will bring in two groups of fellows with the first group participating in the final portion of OTAs and mandatory minicamp and the second group of fellows participating in training camp. The second group of fellows will be announced at a later date.

Blackburn joins the Commanders after working for the Baltimore Ravens for the past 17 years. In Baltimore he most recently held the role of director of college scouting. In that role, Blackburn oversaw the Baltimore college scouting process and played a vital role in planning for the NFL Draft.

Sosna joins the Commanders after working for the Detroit Lions for the past two years. In Detroit he held the role of senior director of football administration. In that role, Sosna oversaw Detroit's strategic planning and management of the salary cap. He was also the club's chief contract negotiator.

Gardi joins the Commanders after working at the NFL League Office for 21 years. He held the role of senior vice president of football operations for 10 years. Prior to his role as senior vice president of football operations, he served as the League's vice president of labor relations and football administration. Gardi started at the League Office as counsel in 2003. 

With the additions of both Juarez and Randall Sr., Washington has formed their new Rehabilitation Unit. This unit is a newly dedicated and streamlined process which will work in collaboration with the performance department and is designed to coordinate the rehab process for injured players in the most effective way possible. This function will play a vital role in return to play decision-making.
